this morning: "right now kayla has had a step backwards and she has a fever and is not responding like she was. I don't know if it is because of increased medication, increased swelling of the brain or something else. Stacy (kayla's mom) is very upset and concerned by this latest downturn please pray and pass this on to others."
this afternoon: The fever is down to 100 degrees and she is responding better. Said they will try and remove the tubes tomorrow.

Prayer Requests 01/14/09
Teresa (Kat’s Aunt): My Aunt Teresa (sister of my mother, who attended Sednesday bible study with me one day while visiting) is finally at the end of her very long battle (over 30 yrs) with MS. She lost her husband, who always lovingly took care of her, 5 yrs ago, her kidney's shut down 4 yrs ago, and she has been dealing with constant infections from a catheter inserted 1 and 1/2 yrs ago. She is 90 lbs and hasn't eaten or drank since Friday. We think she is finally ready to go home to be with God. Our prayer is that she be at peace and have no pain while she makes this final transition, and that she departs quickly. Thank you so much Kat Hunter

GEORGE ANDERSON: Reminder, George is having surgery this morning on his face for melanoma skin cancer. He has to be at John Hopkins by 6 am. The portion to be removed is about 1½ “ x 1½”. They will graft skin from his leg. He will have a radioactive injection before surgery and that will cause the lymph nodes involved to “light up”. We are praying about this. They don’t know the depth of the melanoma until they do the surgery. Pray it has NOT metastasize. The day of surgery they will give George a radioactive injection. If there are any lymph nodes involved they will “light up”. If only 1 is involved they will remove it. If more are involved that will mean another surgery at a later date. Please pray there is no lymph node involvement. Pray for the wisdom of the doctors and team. Thank you so much for praying for us and we ask you to continue. Pray for a good night’s rest.
